For children who struggle with play and/or social interaction, a group setting provides a supported environment to learn successful strategies, expand on skills, and build confidence in these complex interactions. Group focus may include:
Expressive Arts Groups
Expressive Art groups are designed to give individuals an opportunity to explore their strengths, feelings and creativity. Groups will meet weekly and include relaxation techniques, expressive art activities, expressive writing, and time for socialization.
The Mommy* and Me Playgroup is a group for caregivers of 0-18month babies who are looking for a place to meet other caregivers and learn about their child’s development. Hosted by Play Therapist Kelly Peters, MA, LPC this group will meet weekly to share tips and tricks and learn fun ways to support their child’s emotional and social development. This is not a therapy group but intended as a way to connect and learn about child development.
